There’s also currently an Amex Offer some people have saved on their cards to get $10 off $50 at JCPenney. Combining the two deals, you can get $100 + $25 coupon for just $80 by splitting the charge between two Amex cards.
The online $25 deal is only for e-gift cards which are processed via Cashstar and won’t trigger the Amex Offer. But you can go into a JC Penney store and buy $100 physical gift cards, split the payment between two Amex cards, and get the $25 coupon there.
Lots of exclusions in the fine print, but still a good deal for JC Penney shoppers.
