Chase Freedom Unlimited (CFU) is now available for online applications. It is not yet showing on the Chase site; the application link appears to originate from Credit Karma. A little odd that they got the link before anyone else, maybe it will go live later today.
Here is Credit Karma’s affiliate link and here is the stripped down version of the link with no affiliate.
- Chase Freedom Unlimited Coming Soon
- Coming in April: Chase Freedom Unlimited with 1.5 UR Points Per Dollar
As a reminder, here are the key details of the card:
- $150 signup bonus after spending $500 within 3 months
- An additional $25 bonus when adding an authorized user who makes a purchase within 3 months
- No annual fee
- Earns 1.5% cashback – 1.5 Ultimate Rewards points per dollar
- 3% foreign transaction fee
As far as getting approved for the card post-5/24: Last week we sent out a Newsletter (be sure to subscribe!) that 5/24 is perhaps not being applied to CFU. More recently, the reports are more unclear on this point (see this tweet, for example). Best hope is if you get instantly approved, and even that is no longer clear if it works. Let us know if you have success.
If you have a spare Chase card that you don’t use (CSP, Slate, etc.), you may as well product change that to the CFU, as we’ve discussed in previous posts.
