Our Verdict
The Chase Ink Plus is currently offering a 60,000 bonus (with $5,000 in spend and without the annual fee waived unless you apply in branch), which will be a better option for most people. It’s only possible to get the sign up bonus on these Chase cards once every 24 months, so this would be an attractive option for people who’ve already gotten that bonus.
You can transfer these points to travel partners, as long as you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Ink Plus. Personally I’m going to stick to the Chase Ink Plus offer, but 30,000 is the highest the sign up bonus has been on this card (where as 70,000 points was the highest on Chase Ink Plus).

i have 3 credit cards and my overall credit utilization is 22%. BUT on one of my cards i am at 49%, on second at 37% and around 1% on last card. i pay off my balances every month and i am usually never over 25% on each card. this month i was buying a lot of gift cards and didn’t pay off my balance before statement posted. i just checked my report and it shows above stated utilization. my score is 765. will this be a problem applying for this card? or should i wait until they report my next statement? i would really like to get instant approval…..
Not sure how much Chase cares about credit utilization to be honest for business cards, I’d imagine you’ll need to call reconsideration anyway so should be easy to explain (had some larger than usual expenses, always pay in full).
is nobody getting instant approval?
Also keep an eye out for the mail option. I just received an offer for 60k points on the Ink Plus card after $5k spent in three months and no annual fee. I may try to get it in my wife’s name since it is only addressed to the business and not an individual. I like the no annual fee part, unfortunately I have multiple pulls between the both of us right now and plenty of spending that needs to occur in order to meet minimums.
I have the ink plus which I got during the 70k offer. I’m thinking about going to the ink cash. Can I use the same business to app for the ink cash?
i think i might just go for it. i had both bold and plus already. just closed the ink bold. you think i should be ok? also is it still easy to open even if you don’t have a business. do they ask for anything?
Yes, they ask for a lot of business information if you’re not instantly approved (e.g name, type of business, length of business, business income etc etc). They’ve been cracking down a lot recently.
do you need to send them any documents or is it only over the phone?
It can be handled over the phone. I have never been asked to send/submit anything. I just applied a few months ago, and they asked a lot of questions. It was the most extensive credit card call I have ever had. Not a reason not to do it, but you should prepare yourself prior to the phone call.
Wouldn’t it make sense to sign up for both the Ink Cash and the Ink Plus before product changing the Ink Plus to the Ink Cash?
That way, you get 2 Ink signup bonuses by not voiding the Ink Cash bonus from the product change.
However, this idea depends on the feasibility of Chase allowing a product change.
Hello – I have an Ink Bold and Ink Cash for the same business. I would like to apply for the Ink Plus to get the 60K bonus… any ideas how to go about in the reconsideration call? … Perhaps they’ll ask me to close the Ink Bold first? Could I possibly have 3 business cards for the same business?
Thanks in advance for any pointers!!
Al
They’ll probably want you to close at least one of those cards first, you might be best off saying you want to split certain expenses (e.g one card just for you, one card for you and employees (authorized users) and another for large whole sale purchases or something).
is the 24 month limitation per SSN or per tax ID? I’ve had an ink product before (I think within the 24 mo period), but want to reapply with a different business with a different tax id. would I get the bonus for the other business?
Not sure honestly.
