MilesToMemories broke the news earlier today that Giftcardmall stopped carrying $500 Visa gift cards. The highest denomination then was $250, which of course kills the deal.
The $500 cards are now showing on the site as before.
It appears that this was just a temporary glitch of sorts or they changed their mind very fast. It’s also possible that they’re trying different things out, in which case it may revert back in the future. Let’s just hope the supermarkets still continue to carry the $500 cards.
Remember also that you can get .5% back on Visa gift cards by going through Topcashback.
If you go to the business section, you can get one with your name on it, up to $2500.00 for 5.95. Isn’t this a good option?
From memory, it redirect you to a different site, and it doesn’t work out. Don’t remember exactly why right now. Maybe those are PINless?
I would be curious to know that too – might not get cashback, but still cheaper than trying to purchase 5 different ones at the grocery (and cheaper even with shipping fees) to meet minimum spend
I went through the motions to make a dummy purchase of $2000. Said they charge a “large denomination fee” for anything over $250. The fee is 2.5% of the difference between what you’re buying and $250. So for mine the fee was $43.75. [($2000 – $250) x 2.5%]

I still see the $250 limit as well as an increase from $3.95 to 5.95 for the activation fee. Time to move on from GCM

Rookie question. I just got my serve card after redbird was shut down. Currently I’m only using it for 1k load per month online with fidelity Amex 2% cash back. Can you buy these with credit card online and load these Visa GCs onto serve? If so, how? Is there a free?

Yeah, you can buy Metabank Visa gift cards with a credit card at your local supermarket and many Walmarts stores will allow you to use them to load Serve. The gift card has a fee, but the load does not. Use the last 4-digits as the PIN.
