Recap: 5x – What?, National 1 Only, Saveya Bulk, High End Credit Card & More

  • 5x what, Bro? by Saverocity. As always you should be looking at the complete cycle when manufactured spending, to make sure you’re getting the best ROI (in this case usually your time and any fees you pay purchasing & liquidating). 5x is great and usually works the best for me, but sometimes 2x is also a good option.
  • National is now enforcing 1 Discover cert per rental by Frequent Miler. This is bad news for those that were taking advantage of these certificates. I don’t generally rent cars often so this doesn’t really matter for me, but something to keep in mind regardless.
  • SaveYa Is Launching A New Bulk Seller Program by Money Metagame. I don’t like bulk selling programs that require a minimum weekly sell volume as I usually sell in larger bursts, but I’m sure I can work out something with them. Would be interested to hear more now that it’s officially gone live and out of beta.
  • How to get a 100% Credit For Your Airport Lounge Visit Promotion by Mod Hop. Basically you pay cash for a lounge visit and then get 100% of that back in Lounge Buddy bucks, might be useful for some that get their lounge visits reimbursed but I imagine most people have some sort of free lounge access from a credit card these days.
  • A high-end card nobody talks about: the UBS Preferred Visa Signature credit card by PFdigest. This card isn’t worth the high annual fee, but I love reading about more obsecure cards and it’s people like PFdigest that look into these cards that helps uncover the diamonds in the rough – so throw your support (and pageviews) behind bloggers like this.
  • AMEX Cards Not Targeted For Shop Small In November? Try These Links! by Dans Deals. Doesn’t look to be working for most people, but for some it does so give it a go. SBS still sucks this year.
