Wanted to add that the Southwest Promo makes it illogical to book reward flights via a transfer if you have a CSR.

Example: I booked a flight from LAX -> CMH
Points cost: 10,059 + $5.60 (0 RR earned)
Price cost: $173 (839 RR earned)

If you book the $173 flight using CSR (have to call in), it will cost 11,532 UR points, BUT you’ll be getting 839 RR back PLUS an additional 839 RR points. Bringing your cost in points down to 9,854. That’s 205 points cheaper AND you don’t pay the $5.60 fee. Keep in mind my flight example has a low redemption rate, so others might even workout better. You’ll have to do the math.

Of course this depends on how much you value UR points, transfer partners, etc. But if you solely use it, or were planning to use it, to transfer to SW RR and redeem, this might work out better for you.

The double points are for flights booked/flown June 19 – Sep 30. See the offer details and make sure you’re enrolled before taking further steps. I saw it in my promotion tab in RR once I enrolled.
