Our Verdict
Update: http://www.advantagerewardscard.com/general_home.asp shows you what points can be redeemed for. Thanks to reader @jonlucadecaro. Doesn’t look like you can redeem for cash back if these are the same points this card earns. All options are basically merchandise and gift cards (little bit less than 1¢ per point).
You also need to be a member of NASA FCU, that will result in a hard pull (in addition to the hard pull for applying to this card). Because of that I don’t think this card is worth applying for. So close, by so far away.
Real question is, how much are the points worth and what can they be redeemed for? I’m going to do some digging and try to find out. NASA Federal Credit Union also offer a 2% cash back card.
Hat tip to reader Lawrence T
Should note that this is $5000 in 90 days. More than usual.
The reward options are lame, even gift cards. Forget the redemption rate – the merchants just aren’t worth it.
So how much do I need to spend before I get to Dilithium Crystal level? They could have done so much more with the design.
Live long and prosper.
How’s that Ben.
dude it’s not star wars
As you do your digging, May the Force be With You

I am gong to get SO much insane sex from holding this CC… I cant wait dude…
Don’t know if your being sarcastic or if u know something bout trekkie girls us normal mortals know nothing of.
@NinjaX I was thinking about getting this card for my husband, but now I’m concerned. I’m afraid when he pulls it out of his wallet, some lady at the store will say “resistance is futile.” And there goes my marriage…
Comment of the year
+1 repped…
“exclusive rewards and experiences” sounds like overpriced merch.
“Although I don’t think you need to join the credit union for this Star Trek card, so there should just be the one hard pull.”
Don’t you need to join, though?
