Citi has added a $200 inKind dining credit to the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard. The credit was briefly showing on the benefits list before being removed and then confirmed by VFTW. The credit is a semi annual meaning you receive one $100 credit that is good from January – June and a second $100 credit that is good through July – December. There doesn’t seem to be any other restrictions like a minimum spend requirement and the July – December credit is available for cardholders now. To access the benefit you need to add your Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard card to the inKind app. You should then be able to use the select the credit when paying through the app.
Our Verdict
inKind frequently has gift card discounts or other discounts so it’s definitely not fair to value this at 100%, 60-70% of face value is where I would personally be valuing this credit. At least this credit doesn’t seem to be overly restrictive or broken down into monthly discounts. Citi recently refreshed this card and increased the annual fee and most (all?) people were very disappointed with the changes. I wonder if this was in response to that or they already had this planned and it wasn’t ready to roll out at launch?

Can this credit be used for tips?
Yes, unlike other credits these can be used for tips/gratuity. Citi reached out to say the credit can’t be used for tips or gratuity so if that is currently working don’t expect it to last long.
