TopCashBack Changes Stance on Raise Promotion For the BETTER

The Offer

We had previously covered the promotion TopCashBack is running on the listing of gift cards at Raise.com. In the initial post I had mentioned that it would be calculated off the value of gift card. Then we noticed a change in the Term and Conditions for the promotion for the worse. Now after reaching out to representative from TCB asking for clarification on the promotion they have again changed their stance and this time for the better.

The Fine Print

These are the current T&C

It seems my initial hyposthesis was correct that any card with a value of $50+ will receive the full $10 per listing at the end of the month. This is an extremely positive development and I am happy to say the TCB team has done the right thing by honoring the promotion as initially stated. I hope you all didn’t have to big of a scare yesterday with the wrong T&C being posted on TCB, which would have been a big hit to the profit margins of many of us gift card resellers.

The Verdict

This back and forth with TCB has hopefully come to an end and we can all be assured that any card listed of $50+ will be posting with an additional $8.50 ($10 in total) at the end of the month. I hope this promotion lasts through at least the end of July, if not longer, but we have no confirmation as to the end date at the current time.

I am happy to say I have been listing with good results (TCB Confirmations at least twice daily) by using my tips outlined in this post. If any you have had good or bad results with listing cards on Raise and tracking with TCB please let us know in the comments.

Has anyone had their amount raised to $10 (sell or list price of $50) from a July trackback?

Heads up to anybody looking to take advantage of the extended promotion: it appears TCB has reverted back to the previously updated wording on the sale instead of the value of $50+ cards: “Cash back on the selling/listing of gift card is calculated on the SALE PRICE of the gift card.”

Hi, are you sure this i’ll get this promo as long as the FACE value of the gc is $50?

(I listed and sold a few cards. The face value was $50, but they sold for $44.xx etc)

Yes, this is what they changed in the language of the terms to include cards with a $50 face value and a sale amount of less than $50.

Does the card need to sell by 7/31 or just need to be listed by 7/31?

Thanks

While this is certainly positive news, this news kind of sucks for me. Because of the previous reporting that it was the sale price that triggered the higher payout, not the card value, I ordered 2x $100 Zappos gift cards to resell for the recent Amex Offer of $40 on $200. Had I known this I would have ordered 4x $50 gift cards. Not only would they have sold faster at the lower value, I’m also leaving $20 on the table per Amex card.

It sounds too good to be true if we’re allowed more than one promotion per account, but I’ll take your word for it.

That being said, I wouldn’t go crazy with it and wouldn’t list more than 2-3 cards.

I am a regular bulk seller on raise and don’t see much downside in trying to list any /as many of your cards as possible using my tips.
I would give a word of caution. The $10 given by tcb/raise should be considered a bonus, don’t calculate your profit margins off of it because there could always be issues for tracking, tcb chanung thing stance or GC market sellers

Thanks, but I don’t think it would be worth it to sell GCs on raise without this promotion. There are better offers available out there. YMMV.

I have been doing over 90% of my GC reselling through them and been doing well. Depends on your rates and the current market prices. So yes, very much YMMV.

To my knowledge TCB is per listing. I will reach out to their rep via twitter to confirm, but could take a day or two to confirm.

I have 10 GCs that I need to resell. As KK says, can anyone confirm if I list 10 cards for sale, then will I get $100 CB from TCB or just $10 CB?

Not long ago, there was a similar offer of $5 per listing and it worked per card, I believe. So this will probably be the same.

I know it wasn’t mentioned that it could be done only once per account, but was anyone able to confirm this?
