Hilton Promos

You might as well register for all of these Hilton promotions. Probably won’t stack, but worth a try.

Our Verdict

This deal is pretty crazy, you pay for one night and get one night free and you can also get a $75 Visa gift card and $25 in food and beverage credit. This would be perfect for a weekend get away. You’ll need to make the purchase with a Visa Signature card (I assume a Visa Infinite card such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve would work as well, might be a good way to knock out the $300 travel credit as well).

If you find any good/great deals then please share them in the comments below!

What do these transactions code as?

Unsure

Do these stays earn Hilton points?

According to this Flyertalk post, they do.

Do they earn elite night/stays?

Yes

Do you have to book through the visa site or portal, register or go via a certain link?

Do I get points and stays by booking through Visa luxury hotel collection? I am also Hilton Diamond so I don’t know if that will further increase my chance of being upgraded

Frank
Frank

Short answer is NO. Long answer is, booking through Visa luxury hotel is the same as Amex FHR or Priceline, hotels deem it as booking through travel agency and thus negate all elite benefits. However, in exchange you get lower rate and some guaranteed benefits which are normally equal or even superior to those coming with highest elite status.

Thanks for your reply, but I thought booking through Amex FHR does give you stay and points? In any case, I get your point 🙂

Frank

My bad. Amex FHR indeed earns points

Could this be combined with the Citi Hilton Reserve $100 statement credit?

Any idea if my wife and I could both charge two nights on our individual cards (4 nights in s row total) and each get a night free?

The dates I want to book show non-refundable only, how is the 2nd night going to be refunded upon check out then according to T&C?

“Free night will be the rate for the last night of the stay inclusive of associated taxes and fees and will be deducted at the hotel upon check-out.”

Travel Griz

So the taxes and fees of the 2nd night will be deducted from final from final bill? Would this include resort fees too?

Is there a link to the offer? I’m only seeing the $75 gift card advertised.

Are both promos really combinable? Thanks.

Thanks doc! Just booked 2 nights at Waldorf Astoria towers in NYC for $395 after discounts applied!

Are we sure you can double dip the free night and the $75 credit? The free night says “can’t combine with any other offer” in a place or two.

Why are we assuming these promos can be stacked? From the free night T&C:

“Offer cannot be combined with any other offers or packages unless otherwise specified.”

When booking online, I’m not seeing the second night as free, even though I selected the second night free promo rate, it falls within the travel dates and is one of the listed Conrad hotels. Did other people have this issue booking online? Trying to call in, but I’ve been on hold for over 10 min now..

I think price for 2nd night (and taxes) will be refunded after check-out.

Thank you so much! I just canceled the 2 nights I had booked at the Waldorf in Edinburgh in 2 weeks and rebooked with this offer on my CSP. Yay!

I think we are misinterpreting this deal. It doesn’t say 2nd night free. It says stay a minimum of two nights and enjoy a free night. I don’t think it was intentionally misleading – I think it was just a poor writer who wrote it. I think they intend for you to PAY for at least two nights and THEN enjoy a free night (meaning third night free). At least one person elsewhere was told that they could add a third night for free, but 2nd night wouldn’t be free. Still not a bad deal, but I don’t think we’re reading it right.

LLXC
LLXC

I don’t think this is correct.

Call Visa. Someone on another blog did. Visa called the Conrad. Conrad said it’s a third night free. I just made two bookings, so I’ll be happy if this second night free business is right, but I don’t think it is.

“Book 2 nights or more at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh by December 31st, 2016 and stay by March 31st, 2017 to enjoy your last night free upon check-out”

That’s from my confirmation – looks pretty straightforward.

Great find, Doc. A DP: I tried booking a room at one property and it wouldn’t accept a CSR but it didn’t accept a CSP. It could be because it would only take Visa Signature cards, not Infinite cards. On the page to pay, it said “Card Type: Visa Signature” and you couldn’t change it.

FF
FF

That’s weird, it took my CSP.

Daniel
Daniel

Sorry, I meant it didn’t take my CSR but it did take my CSP.

It took my CSR.

Like someone above, I’m a HHonors Diamond. I will be in Singapore and Bangkok in February and would love to take advantage of this promo. So someone stated that I’ll earn points, but will I also get all the Diamond benefits like executive lounge and breakfast?

Nico
Nico

I haven’t done it with this, but I’ve received points as expected through FHR each time so far. With something like FHR and Visa Signature Hotels, you’re not paying Visa — you’re paying the hotel directly. In my experience, when you pay the hotel directly, you get elite benefits and points.

This opinion would seem to be backed up by the fact that my reservations immediately showed up in my HHonors app after I made them (since I included my HHonors # on the reservation) — unlike a booking made through a third party like a Priceline or Expedia or something.
