Our Verdict
A lot of credit cards offers a category bonus on grocery stores, which is why this might be an attractive promotion for some. A $5 discount isn’t terrible exciting but it helps offset some of the activation fees that these cards usually come with. Just make sure you use a credit card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases and have multiple ways of unloading the gift cards (either through manufactured spending or regular use).
