Not sure but possibly YMMV: I called them today looking to close out my two Business Advantage Unlimited Cash Rewards cards/corp accounts. I didn’t ask for one but the rep proactively offered me a retention of $50 as a statement credit with no spend requirements for each account that I keep open instead of closing. There were other options available for the retention offer but the statement credit was the only one that I thought was worth considering.
In case it matters, I opened one in 2023 and the other in 2024, both as the same sole prop, and I have not use the cards at all after hitting the SUB’s on them.
Called today 5/19 and got the same response from them. Opened the biz card in 2024. Took the $50 credit.
Approved after recon and closing existing business card/moving credit to open new card.
They really care about the assets you have under management as well as most recent cards opened with them, so take that into account. Closing my existing card and moving the available credit to the new one was my last Hail Mary that worked.
How long for the $500 statement credit to show up? I met the $5k spend about 2 weeks ago. No bonus tracker. Did receive letter in mail confirming the bonus details.

Should I apply if I was auto denied for alaska biz bofa last week?
I called recon and I was told they can’t approve me cuz this biz alaska card has a rule of be denied if 2 revolving accounts opened in the last 12months, making the math I open one personal cc about 3 months ago, the other one about 11months ago, I thought the rule was 3/12 n not 2/12, any idea? I dont think I have applied for biz cards in the last 12months btw but I think that doessnt matter anyway…
Alaska Biz has its own stricter underwriting standards it seems. Having existing BOA account makes the 3/12 rule to a 7/12 rule. They will use the same hard pull on your credit report if you apply within the same 30 period of both applications. Worth applying for another Biz card if you fall into that timeframe.
Thanks, I do have a BoA deposit acc for 15 years, I have been auto approved before for bof biz cards, this is my first pending n then rejection, what is strange is that recon said 2/12, I’m sure they didn’t said 3/12 as I thought, and I will be 1/12 later this month… What should I do? I applied in the first week of April so I think the 30days r almost gone…
Approved yesterday. Used sole prop and mostly my First and Last Name for filling out the business section.
Status 6/24. Transunion/Experian pulled instantly but decision was right away in under 30 seconds.
I had a hard time applying for BOA’s business products in the past. The business section/info was cluttered and a mess. Maybe my long term relationship(personal credit cards) and the couple of 0% Balance Transfers that i took out about 6 months ago helped seal the deal.
Any DP’s within the last month or so with someone holding more than 1 and getting the bonus and both of them?
Previous got $500 bonus twice. Over 12 months since last $500 bonus. Cancelled card in Oct, 2024.
Applied again after seeing $500 bonus offer in special offers after logging on BofA.
Instant approval 11k credit limit. Current have personal check and personal card.
just an FYI that this bonus does NOT show up in your Cash Rewards as spendable funds. It shows up on the corporate/parent account as a $500 statement credit (RWD PROMO STMT CREDIT).
