Our Verdict
Since its launch in 2017, the offer on this card has been 50,000 points with $3,000 spend. They’re now bumping it up to 60,000 points with $4,000 spend which is nice.
If you don’t have the card, this is pretty easy $600 bonus to meet. It does have the $95 annual fee, which some might be able to offset with the $100 travel incidental credit (see what counts here).
Bank of America has also increased the Elite version of this card to $750.

DP: Opened acct 5/20, Met spend requirements 7/19, rcvd 60k points bonus with following statement 7/22
approved with 790 credit score 3/24
Similar DP as Samosa below. Instant denial, at 5/24 with high credit score and existing Alaska card with BofA.
Where can I transfer the points if I close this card?
redeem for statement credit.
if you have gold tier gives 25% boost, effectively this is a 2.5% cashback on dining / travel card? You’d get 2500 points back on $1k purchases which pays out $25?
If so, then if all $4k purchases were travel/dining, you’d get $100 back which covers the AF at least. So the $600 SUB would be a true 15% back on $4k. If I math’d right?
Application denied instantly (credit score >800, 1 prior inquiry in the past 2 years, high income, W-2 employment, no prior credit card with BoA (was previously denied in 2019)
Dp: Recently purchased AA $100 gift card, within a week got a statement credit.
Genius 😂
By this, do you mean an American Airlines gift card? Did you purchase this online or at the airport?
I have a 810 or so score.
I wasnt paying attention to my cards during covid and before and bunch of them got cancelled because of no use.
So now I am back in the game and try to get a card for SUB, meet the requirements which take me about 2-3 months and then try to get a new card and so on. But lately, a lot of banks arent inclined to give new cards even the ones with who I had 3-4 cards in the past like Citi. Citi in general seemed to be very cautious. CK showed me an excellent chance for Double Cash approval but I still got denied. I have tried Capital One pre approval and they also so no (I have the silver card that I got 2 years ago).
Anyways BoA is the only one that always shows as outstanding chance of approval. I already have all 3 of their regular no fee cards (Silver read and blue). I dont travel at all so the $100 benefit will be a total waste but do you think it is still worth applying and paying the $100 fees. To me it seems worth it because as of right now, all my spending is not going towards a sub and hence kind of going waste.
It’s the best catch-all travel card for Platinum Honors members. I always regret closing it when I’m traveling.
i only have CSR and C1V so this looks like a pretty low-priority card for me
