Update 5/20/25: Some people are seeing on Capital One Shopping – Blue Apron Get $85 back on purchases. I see this by going to the Events filter, and then finding Blue Apron. Hat tip to reader Techant
Update 5/5/25: Rakuten is increased further to $65/6,500 and Chase Freedom is increased further to 5,800.
Original Post 4/21/25:
There are two stackable deals for Blue Apron meal subscription signups:
- AmEx Offer and Citi Offer for $25 off $50; or Chase Offer for 15% back (up to $13.50 back).
- Shopping portal increased payout rates: Rakuten is at 6,000/$60 and Chase Freedom Ultimate Rewards is at 5,500. See all options here. (ht CorrectCombination11) You can also check what Capital One Shopping has to offer.
Looks like it might be possible to get a subscription starting at just $25. Or you can do a larger subscription if you want to meet the $50 spend threshold for the Amex Offer. Regardless, this can be a great time to try out Blue Apron and get the nice shopping portal intro offer. Just remember this is an ongoing subscription, see whether you like it and what to keep it before future charges post to your card.
Mine also came back as “ineligible” for the C1 $85 offer. Since a few others here got the same, I’m thinking that it might be due to the transaction not going through until the food ships. They mention something similar on the Rewards and Savings Dashboard – “In addition, certain travel purchases may show as ineligible until the stay / rental is complete.”
Maybe they indeed changed the system, but I doubt it. Somebody in the comments below mentioned it stayed ineligible even after the order was delivered. More likely blue apron is now getting better at detecting churners, or maybe just denying most claims for no good reason. Is this your first blueapron account ?
It’s my second account. I also have a citi offer so I’ll keep the order, will report back whether C1S applies or not.
I signed up 4/26 with $85 offer, 3rd order shipped tonight and about an hour before the blue apron email I got C1S email saying $112.50 rewards are pending as of tonight with an expected payout of Jul 26.
Wow, three orders ? Jeez. Did it track for you as ineligible initially ? Thanks.
Yes, initially tracked as ineligible, maybe it’s as simple as the first order shipment after day 30 triggers it? On both my orders so far I got ready-made meals that were leaking as the film wasn’t glued sufficiently. Aside from the insulation contained mess of spilling it when unpacking can’t complain too much as credits were prompt when sending in pictures. We’ll see what comes in today.
Thanks for more info, and congrats ! Ugh, let’s see it goes I guess, maybe with more DPs this will become clearer.
The affiliate program linked on their website doesn’t have its terms available, but the TopCashback Blue Apron offer page says this: “Subscription cashback is earned when customers receive an order for the first time in their subscription. Customer must be an active subscriber, meaning their account is not cancelled after 30 days of signing up.”
If it were just about a 30 day waiting period, that would make sense with
Anthony Paganini ‘s timeline.
How much were each of your subscriptions?
See above, I’ve been given some account credits from improperly sealed food I used on 3rd order. As such my order CC charges were: $15.96, $51.96, and $0.95. Citi merchant offers has credited so far $12 on the first and $36 on the 2nd, expecting another $12 on the 3rd.
C1S tracked but came back as ineligible. Might still get the food just to use the Citi discounts and then try to email C1S support or not.
Also, do not get the ready meals, get the meal kits to cook. The kits are pretty easy and actually of decent quality. The ready meals you can buy on sale for like 3 bucks at any grocery store, they are of that quality.
Be careful. I did this recently and C1 came back saying “Ineligible” when it tracked. Fortunately I got notice just in time to cancel the order. I clicked through their link and did not modify the discount or anything so no clue why it said ineligible.
Yup mine also ineligible, purchased the 10 micorwaveble meals but keeping it hopefully the $24 back on citi offer tracks.
Just linked my Gmail to Fetch and it automatically added my Blue Apron receipt and gave me 40,000 points = $40!
I don’t see any terms or conditions on the Capital One $85 offer. Is there a minimum purchase required? Has anyone received it even with the minimum order?
I also came here to ask this.
Problem: how do you sort through the THOUSANDS of offers when none are text (and thus F3 cannot be used)?
Update: never mind: there was a search bar (which showed nothing in my case).
so I had the $25 off $50 on both Amex Personal Golds, one is an AU, AU credit hasn’t kicked in yet says Limit of 1 statement credit per eligible card member account hmmmm what that mean ?
Can I get it just for 1 week with 10 Single-serving meals, and then cancel?
That’s what Im doing and rakuten appears to be tracking. I’m sure the Citi / card offers will too since I doubt there’s a distinction on their level
Does anyone know if this works for reactivated subscriptions?
no
I signed up with the $85 cash back and $25/50 Amex and the meals don’t look appealing.
They are mostly meh. But, free food always taste better to me 😁
There’s some Daily Harvest nastiness from around 2017, completely free, still in my freezer.
