Special Offer For Recent Approvals: Chase Sapphire Preferred & INK Cardholders Get $50 Chase Travel Credit

Update 6/24/25: To clarify, this $50 credit is a credit at checkout (unlike the CSP $50 hotel credit which is a statement credit. From what I’m reading, it appears this offer might be available for everyone who signed up within the past year-or-so (or possibly up to 1.5 years) on the Sapphire Preferred or INK Preferred, even if you didn’t get an email about it. Simply start a Chase Travel booking at see if they take off $50 at checkout, and you’ll know that you have the offer. (ht to reader RM)

Original Post 6/23/25:

The Offer

Chase is sending out an email with details of the new Points Boost information on the Sapphire Preferred card and on the INK Preferred card which takes away the flat 1.25% redemption option for a variable option, effective in October 2025.

They also note a special offer for new Sapphire Preferred cardholders who were approved within the past year-or-so:

  • Get a one-time $50 credit toward Chase Travel booking. That’s on top of the regular $50 annual hotel credit benefit. To redeem, just book your itinerary through Chase Travel by June 23, 2026.
  • Some INK Preferred cardholders are getting the $50 credit email as well.

Our Verdict

Nice bonus $50 credit. I believe this $50 shows up as a credit in Chase Travel (?) while the $50 hotel credit comes as a statement credit. You should be able to use up both on $100 hotel booking.

Seems like they are trying to soften the blow of the new Points Boost which most of us consider a downgrade. For some reason they’re only offering the credit to new-ish cardholders.

P2 got the promo on her CSP. No email. She got the card in April. We used it for an upcoming hotel booking in August, stacked with the annual $50 hotel credit. I got the card about a year ago and do not have the promo.

I don’t see the email, and I don’t see the credit when I tried to check out at chase travel portal.
I got my CSP in May

Got this today while booking on Chase Travel. Very nice perk of extra 50 off on the spot. I paid with a card that has Chase Offers 100 off 600 so total $150 off on a $700 flight. Not bad at all!
I didn’t pay attention to expiration date but I don’t think it was 6/23 since it’s already 6/25.
(For the record, recent CSP approval about 2 months ago)

Since I don’t travel, is there any way for me to get the $50 in some other way? Thanks for any help.

My CIP opened 9/4/24 does not have the credit. I checked the Ways to Use page and also tried a dummy hotel booking with no luck

Has anyone figured out if there’s a way to use two separate CSP’s $50 credit together?

P2 got new CSP two months ago, and also receive the extra $50 off email. I could really combine the three $50 together for our upcoming 3 night stay. Don’t really have any other use for these annual CSP hotel credits.

Why not just book separate reservations?

That’s what I ended up doing yesterday. Called hotel to confirm both bookings, and made sure they can be linked together.

Interesting that they’re including Ink card members, too. Uh-oh…

Are Ink cards about to get Bonvoyed like the Sapphires have?
