Our Verdict
When these discounts come along it’s worth seeing if there is anything you want to purchase, in addition it’s also a good time to list these brands as they are more likely to sell. Use Ebates or another portal if you are eligible. Otherwise, we’d appreciate if you use our Raise affiliate link.
Keep in mind that Raise has made a number of changes recently:
- Raise Extends Buyer Protection to a Year
- Raise.com Lowers Portal CashBack from $1.50 to $.50
- Raise Lowers Sell-Fees to 12%
Hat tip to Miles to Memories
You know, someone can correct me on this one, but I rarely see these sales taking a serious bite out of Raise’s supply or my listings.
Depends on the sale, sometimes (especially when it’s a sitewide $10 off) I sell a lot of inventory.
How does Raise sell any cards? Rarely anywhere close to being lowest cost, except for a few odd brands.
Can you usggest some more cost efficient alternitives? I like to use Raise for hotels.com gift cards.
honestly, I think a lot of people only know of Raise and go straight there to buy discounted cards. the type of people reading DoC (the best people, of course 😉 ) aren’t the norm when it comes to “saving money.” It’s akin to someone always using Ebates for cash back even when multiple other sites may offer higher rates.
It depends when you look at the site. Whenever they do have the lowest cost cards they tend to sell out very quickly.
