Our Verdict

Easy $21 moneymaker by signing up for one month. You can do better by stacking this with the $50 off $50 Amex Offer deal or if you find a Bank Amerideals to rebate the $8 fee. We have seen Swagbucks deals slightly better than this in the past, but this is a pretty good one, especially if you can stack it

This one seems to be crediting immediately which is always a good start. If you’ve done this offer before, Swagbucks might error you out saying you aren’t eligible. If it doesn’t error out you should be good to go. Also, don’t forget to notate on your calendar to decide whether to cancel after 8 days.

Remember that with all Swagbucks deals, some people have had problems either with the portal tracking or with Swagbucks deactivating their account for reasons which aren’t clear, so keep the risks in mind.

If you’re new to Swagbucks then please read our review. You can also get a bonus of up to $13 by using a referral link.

For me at least, SB in general is a dangerous scam. I’ve gotten (and redeemed) points from them before, I guess not a total scam.

But on this one, which seemed to be a great deal– and I did actually want to try Hulu– I got no points, contacted SB customer service via email, they assured me more than once that they were working on it.

Then I tried to log in and it said my account was deactivated. I have NOT abused the SB account in any way.

Anyway, after that, cancelled Hulu immediately and disputed the CC charges, which I feel like makes Hulu (or CC issuer) an innocent victim in a complicated situation. But I guess that’s what Hulu gets for doing business with SB.

I love this site (DoC), and open it multiple times a day, and have for ages.

I wanted to give fair warning to anyone considering doing a SB deal: just don’t.

Does this renew automatically? Is there a way to cancel subscription after signing up

Each SwagBucks offer like this has specific rules. It’s stated above “Please note: If you cancel your membership within 8 days, your SB may be revoked.” You would need to cancel from the Hulu website after that timeframe if you do not wish to continue membership. Just like any subscription service, once you subscribe, your expected to continue unless you cancel.

Joined SB tonight using Will’s link (Sorry Chuck – but I have used yours before for some other card or Ibotta maybe). Did the Dollar Shave, Hulu, and GameFly. All points posted tonight in my activity log – within an hour. I was going to do IMVU too, but maybe I shouldn’t push my luck and get shutdown on my first day. (That, and I have no clue what IMVU it is) I checked my Amex offers & BofA for Hulu, but it just occurred to me I should have looked for the others, just in case. Oh well.

I see SB currently has Walmart and Amazon $25 gift cards on sale for 2200 SB’s. Does that occur often, or at least somewhat regularly? I imagine my points aren’t spendable instantly (at least one, Dollar Shave, says pending in my log).

If I redeem for $25 GC’s at 2200 SB each, I spent almost $24 in “cash” (for stuff I can get at least some use out of) to get almost $75 in GC’s. Just need like 300 more points. Worth it for PJ money.

Thanks again for posting these deals. I had been avoiding SB because I didn’t want another portal to have to check on, but since multiple money-making deals were available I took the bait.

You get one of these per month

Thanks – that works. Cashed out for one $25 last night.

Cool. Apparently works off calendar month. Got my Amazon redemption code today for my first $25 card I ordered. Logged in SB and had offers for $25 Target, Amazon, and Walmart for 2200 SB again. I chose an actual store this time.

Overall things are working nicely so far with SB. I tried to do some of the surveys, but that was a rather annoying experience – stopping the survey several minutes into it to say I don’t qualify is a low blow. Whatever. Already have enough random other points for the 3rd $25 gift card next month.

Yeah the surveys are very poor, not really worth doing especially when they disqualify you at random stages.

Dollar Shave points finally posted. So, will be at close to $100 in GC’s if I wait. I probably will wait. Not bad at all.

Same here. Just created a ticket at SB.

Maybe we can both give some updates along the way (ime, all datapoints can be valuable)…

That sounds great. I am going to try create a ticket as well though their website/contact us is such a maze – its a mystery where and how I should submit a ticket.

If you scroll up here on the Doc page to the ‘Fine Print section’ there is a link to the CS team (and creating a ticket).
Follow that link, select “Discover (Offers)” from the drop down menu and go from there.
Hope that helps…

Thanks for that. I submitted ie yesterday under “Shop” but didn’t have a TripID as it didn’t track. Discover would have made more sense. Anyways – heard back from them that they are checking with the vendor.

Once again: ^^ same here.

Win some, lose some – I get it!

What’s really annoying is their total lack of communication in days, just ignoring everybody.
This actually wants me to not give up on it.
So if anybody has another way to contact them (DoC?) I’d be more than willing to be the datapoint in pursuing this ‘to inifinity and beyond’… 😉

I can’t believe how easy this stuff is. Done in 3 minutes and instant 2900 SB credited. I annoy myself when I don’t get these type of SB offers done on me and every friends account when it comes around. Thanks again DoC.

It says – “Offer applies to new and eligible returning subscribers only”. Means the people who have done this earlier also are eligible to do again?

Should be the case, as long as you’re not existing subscriber is how I understand it?

Argh, I did this deal when it was 2100 SB! And the Gamefly deal, I did when it was 2700 SB. So I missed out on $15! Haha
