Update 7/10/26: The 25,000 points were clawed back. They did give a bonus 5,000 for the inconvenience.
Update 7/8/26: FM reports a new promo code JOINA7 gets you a better 25,000 miles bonus for joining (same link; offer details not showing at link). This one is valid through 7/31/26. I assume the traveler/$5,000 requirements would still be waived for those with the AAdvantage business card. Many readers are finding themselves able to apply the code and get the 25,000 points even if they opened their AAdvantage account long ago. Excellent deal for those with the AAdvantage business card or who want to sign up for one. (Apply the promo code in Settings (promotional codes > save). You might need to first add/update your phone number to get the promo code to save.)

To redeem the miles you need 5 active travelers using the account and $5,000 in eligible spend on flights with American during the calendar year. These requirements are waived for Citi AAdvantage Business cardholders.
Our Verdict
Not too interesting for regular users, but this is a nice promo for someone who anyway plans to signup for the Citi AAdvantage card for the 75k signup bonus – you’ll anyway be earning miles in an AAdvantage business account:
- First, signup for this 10k promo with promo code BNS10K to get the 10k bonus.
- Then, signup for the Citi AAdvantage Business card 75k bonus offer, and link the AAdvantage Business loyalty account to the new card.
You’ll essentially bump the 75k card bonus into an 85k bonus.
