The Offer
- Accor Hotels is offering a promotion. The number of points you receive increases as the number of stays you complete increases. You must book the stays by September 27th, 2019 for bookings from September 13th until January 19th, 2020. The amount of points you’ll receive is as follows:
- 500 Rewards points on your first stay (minimum 2 nights)
- 2,500 Rewards points on your second stay (minimum 2 nights)
- 3,000 Rewards points on your third stay (minimum 2 nights)
Our Verdict
Accor uses a fixed value system with 2,000 points being worth a €40 discount towards a stay. If you complete three stays you’d earn a total of 6,000 bonus points worth €120 so this can be a valuable promotion. The downside to this is that Accor often offers big discount on hotel rooms and in my experience during promotions such as this they aren’t as discounted so keep that in mind. Additionally three stays of 2+ nights each is a lot for a relatively short promo period.

We’ve found that the attractive rates tend to be non qualifying for these promotions. Maybe others have had better experiences.

But those discounts are almost always for no-refund / no-cancel bookings, which I tend to avoid.
I miss the Fairmont days. Would be great if you could do a deep dive into the program and see if there is any real value in it still. Seems as though the perks are largely nonexistent as it relates to upgrades
