In March it was announced that Toys R Us would be closing down, over 500 stores have already been closed but 200 stores have remained open. Those remaining stores will all officially close this Friday. If there is a store near you that is still open, it might be worth heading in to see if there are any great deals available but just don’t expect too much stock to be left. Looks like they are also selling the fittings, so that might be a good deal if you have your own shop or want to try your hand and reselling those (not for me, but I’m sure some people can do well from it). Store opening times will vary so I’d recommend calling to see when your local store is open.
Looks like a former CEO is also working on rebooting Toys R Us, but that will not have any impact on these stores closing. Toys R Us credit cardholders should have already been converted to a Synchrony branded card as well. RIP. If anybody goes to their local store, share any deals you find.
