Hat tip to Dansdeals
I added two books that were $10 a piece and went to checkout. Promo wouldn’t apply at first but I retyped it in and refreshed and it applied. On final summary page it said “Book promotion -5.00” and my total was 15.35. I placed the order but the cofirmation email said I was charged 20.67. I checked my Amazon balance and it indeed charged me 20.67. I’ll be reaching out to Amazon customer service for clarification
Update DP: Amazon rep confirmed the discount will be applied even though it hasn’t reflected as such in my invoice
I just used the code. Like other were posting, there’s an issue with the code not showing up at the final checkout page. However once the order goes through, the $5 off is reflected in the final amount charged.
I tried this on two different books offered by amazon. Didn’t work.
Tried a third time and it went through (on same book). Not sure what the deal was.
I don’t think it applies to pre-order books. The coupon showed successful redemption when I clicked APPLY, but the discount was not reflected in the order details.
I think sometimes it’s only reflected updated when it’s processed and that it doesn’t work properly with pre-orders straight away but should work in the end. Not sure if that makes sense or is right, but remember reading something similar.
