Amazon has announced the Fire TV Cube (our affiliate link) it will cost $119.99 but if you pre-order with prime it will be $89.99 (I imagine we will see similar pricing on a somewhat regular basis, but who really knows), you also get a $10 prime video credit when you activate. The Fire TV cube seems to be a mixture of the fire TV & an Amazon echo dot as it has voice controls (and supports Alexa skills). It basically makes a regular TV a smart TV. Personally I’m still using a Google chromecast and I doubt I’ll upgrade to this. I usually have my phone with me anyway, so voice controls aren’t a huge plus and I don’t have a lot of other ‘smart’ devices so the Alexa integration isn’t that useful for me either. I’ll be interested to see how this prices on prime day though, will it go under this $89.99 price or is this the lowest we will see for some time?
