I got a red 40mm from Target. Since I prefer other colors (any color except for red is ok with me), I was going to get one from Amazon. I thought I would be able to use the Amex point offer or Discover but the only one I have is $10 off with Amex points. For some reason, Amazon charges more tax than Target and the total price is much higher. Target one can be returned till Jan 9 2024 so I will return it if I find a better deal.
I think Amazon charges tax based on the pre-coupon price and Target doesn’t.

I was just in Paris for over a week and my Apple Watch survived. I also didn’t get bed bugs despite reports of a mass infestation of the city. I must be leading a charmed life.
I understand totally how you could get anything stolen in Paris even if you are actually waring it. I had a shoulder bag going up on a Metro escalator in Paris. I thought I was holding my bag securely but by the time I was off the escalator, my bag was gone and I was just holding the straps. I lived in big cities like San Francisco and Tokyo so I was reasonable careful around my surroundings.

Did you buy your bag with an Amex or other credit cards that give you purchase protection? Maybe you can file a claim. Or if you have home insurance or travel insurance
