Wearing at stores just for the looks I get. –
Full face snorkeling mask with N95+ respiratory filter adapted in place of the snorkel tube.
The filters are easy for me to get, a few of the looks are priceless, some ask if it is some sort of specialized industrial mask.
Exhaled air is totally unfiltered so like the N95 masks with valves it does 0 to protect others from whatever I might have.
Inspired by Pneumask project.

Actually I take it back. If you’re still wearing cloth (don’t!), this is a massive upgrade and I endorse people spending $3 to do so. But yeah, masks are cheap now, everyone should be wearing best in class given how much virus is out there.

I’ll be happy if some wear any kind of mask to at least make an effort.

Too further clarify the double-negative, it’s best to wear a N95 mask, which are readily available nowadays.
Additionally, using googles/safety lenses also helps

With a one way filter, I wouldn’t wear an N95 mask. Only protects the wearer. Masks should be used to prevent spread and if someone with COVID is wearing an N95 with the filter, they can easily spread it through the one way filter.

Not really. It is the mask with valves that is causing that problem. Valves are designed to protect only the wearer.
However, I do agree that N95 is not necessary for the general public.

I’m only referring to the N95 masks with the filter valve. Not all are created equal 🙂

If in sustained contact with people, such as grocery store workers and other retailers. a non-valve n95 mask works best. But for a lot of us who are running into stores every few days for 15-20 minutes, these masks are a great deal.

right n95 works best when you wear them properly. you need to go through N95 fit-test. If you don’t wear the right size , it is no better than regular surgical mask . anywayz stay safe

Where do you find n95 masks? On amazon they are only kn95. I don’t trust amazon and anything sold by the Chinese.

I’ve had very good experience buying good quality KN95 masks from bonafiedmasks. They have N95 as well for a reasonable price and everything ships for free.

I second what Hari said. Purchased the Powercom headband masks from bonafiedmasks. They were tested by a YouTube mask tester and he found them to be 98% when properly fitted. Currently ~$15/10 masks.
