I also did this in the beginning of June and I have not received a credit yet and there’s nothing to make me think I will or any record that I did this on Amazon. Get I purchased through the links on Amazon that all had this deal like I clicked on the deal and I only purchased listing the items from that deal so this is ridiculous.

I took advantage of this “offer” in May and have not received my refund. When I called, the Amazon rep said there was no credit to be issued to my account as there was no promotion. Hard to believe Amazon would resort to a scam to increase sales!

Many of the items are limited in quantity. I thought “great, I’ll order 10 bags of the dog food my dogs eat”. but when i went to add them I was limited to 4 bags or $40. There’s nothing else on the qualifying list that I’m interested in, so I just cancelled.

YMMV, did this the last time and the credit took the full 30 days to post. For me the Amazon is more valuable because you can spend it on anything but if you have lots of pets/buy a lot of food, the chewy one is definitely easier and quicker

Almost always when Amazon does this, Chewy is also doing it or will do it soon, and doing it better. Amazon makes you wait 30 days for the money, whereas Chewy will give you the gift card in a day. Also kind of scummy and should not be abused, but Chewy lets you keep the gift card if you return the item. I only know this because I had a genuine return.

Yup so did I, and they offered me their new thing Chewy +. I did a free trial but I’m keeping it because it’s been extremely worth it. I have 3 dogs, somehow ALL wound up being special needs. 3 prescription foods, one on epilepsy meds, one on prozac and one with IBD. I have saved a shitload of money on their food and meds since doing that.

What is Chewy +? I spend an absolute fortune at Chewy so I’m curious.
I have 2 cats. One needs a prescription diet, supplements and meds.

What I tend to do is buy Chewy gift cards at OD to get 5x points with my Ink. Then use those gift cards at shopping portals. Chase portal is offering 5x points this month at Chewy, so that’s 10x points.

Hopefully that link works for you. But it’s $50 a year. Free shipping no minimum. And REWARDS. That’s the big one for me. I’m earning cash back on all my purchases and they’re available immediately. Also as soon as I signed up I was offered a bunch of deals, I got like 25% off prescriptions and a big discount on flea and heartworm prevention. I ended up contacting my vet and got like 6 months worth of everything including the seizure meds and prozac.

Thank you. I’ll have to check this out. Rewards is big. I’ve always been telling my wife that as much as I love Chewy I didn’t like that there were no rewards. I spend several hundred at Chewy each month and get nothing for it.
