• American Airlines has launched a new American Airlines AAdvantage pass that costs $5,000 and provides the following:
  • Gold status
  • 100,000 American Airline miles
  • 15,000 Loyalty Points

Our Verdict

Pass will code as an American Airlines purchase. Don’t really see any use case for this, even if you value miles at 2¢ each (very very high) you’re still paying $3,000 for gold status and 15,000 loyalty points. I’m sure American Airlines will get a few people to pay for this, but surely that time could be better spent making a more useful product.
