- 6% cash back at U.S. supermarkets (up to $6,000 in spend annually, then 1%)
- 6% cash back on select U.S. streaming subscriptions
- 3% cash back at U.S. gas stations
- 3% cash back on transit (e.g taxis/rideshare, parking, tolls, trains, buses and more)
- 1% back on all other purchases
- You can only get the sign up bonus on American Express cards once
Our Verdict
The increased bonus is part of the product refresh on this card which saw the addition of the streaming subscriptions and transit category. We’ve seen increased bonuses of up to $450 on this card before, so I’m not sure how strong this offer actually is. I guess if you can maximize the 6% categories it’s an attractive offer but not strong enough to be added to the best credit card bonus page.
A better option would be to go for the $300 referrals offer + up to 20,000 points for the referrer. If you have any questions about American Express cards they are most likely answered here.
