[Working Again] American Express Business Delta Cards No Longer Available Via Referral From Other Cards

This appears to be working again.

American Express just increased the annual fees and added new benefits to the Delta cards. In addition you can no longer refer friends & family to the Delta business cards from cards that aren’t in the Delta family. Delta consumer cards are still appearing though. It’s unclear if this is an intentional permanent change or not.

I’m still only seeing referrals to Personal Delta cards, not Business.

Also decent upgrade bonuses being offered seemingly on the biz cards but not on the personal? (anyone have contrary data?)

There was an upgrade offer on my account last week but I don’t see it now. It was Gold to Plaz, get 20,000 miles and $200 statement credit after spending $2,000.

Gotta be honest – I never even knew this was a thing.

I gotta say I’m finding incredible value from AA miles on domestic flights. Like 6-7.5k miles each way. Delta miles are not worth bothering with.

I don’t even see any cool flash sales anymore. Now and then Delta would have 20-25k each way to Europe. I guess they’re content to milk credit cards for revenue. They do have the best service of the big three. If anyone knows good way to get value out of SkyMiles, I’m all ears.

Try DFW/JFK or DFW/BOS or DFW/SEA or DFW/LAX or the reverse to name a few and see who’s the winner. Now I look only at 1st class and almost always AA is twice DL or at least half again. Oh, I’m a lowly DL million miler with lifetime gold status. So no status there for a hedge.

International to Europe business class, AA is just as bad as DL. I don’t even bother looking with either. AA is pitiful to Europe as no locations unless you go BA + $$$$. Use Flyblue or Singapore.

I have the Delta Biz Plat and see no referral option anymore. I’d assume this is temporary, but who knows with Amex.

Can’t refer to a Delta Biz from Delta Blue either. Though with a paltry 5k referrer bonus not a great loss.

As you could cross-refer, it’s not 5k skypesos but 15k-25k MRs what the loss is.
