The Fine Print
- Exclusive Preferred Golf Membership. Gold Cardmembers are eligible for enrollment.
- Payment for accommodations must be made using the Gold Card. Limit one membership per Cardmember.
- Membership is valid for one year from date of issue from the provider.
- At the end of your membership term, you will have an opportunity to renew your membership.
- Complimentary renewal of the Program membership will be provided to an eligible Cardmember upon booking a minimum of a two-night stay at eligible properties once per year.
- Eligible Cardmembers may renew membership into the program without an eligible reservation for an annual fee of US$295.
- Membership is not valid on previous stays or existing reservations.
- Membership does include taxes.
- Blackout dates may apply and vary by location.
- Complimentary round of golf offer is valid at participating Preferred Golf resorts and will be redeemed only when purchasing a minimum consecutive two-night stay at participating golf resorts.Advance reservations required and must be made via the Preferred Golf website or through American Express Travel and are subject to availability. Offer valid based on double occupancy in a standard room.

Not sure how useful this membership actually is, but might be helpful to very keen golf players.

Stackable with the hotel collection benefits?
Any idea if this is restricted to ONLY the cardmember him/herself, or if the benefit can be used to register another friend or family member (similar to how you can basically use the GE credits on anyone)? If this is not possible, then alternatively, would it be possible if we added the friend or family member as an AU on the card and then used the benefit? Just trying to think of ways to maximize this offer for others since I don’t play gold myself… any other ideas?
Will this work on the amex gold premier rewards version too?
