  • This offer does not have the lifetime language.

Our Verdict

Interesting that they are targeting businesses that already hold a Platinum card, I guess it’s not that surprising given that some benefits are only available to the primary cardholder and not on the employee cards. I still would’ve thought that they could solve that with an employee card with the same annual fee and benefits but this works as well. Obviously doesn’t have any lifetime language as they are targeting those that have an active card already.

I keep getting mail on all kinds of credit card and loan offers. Next up is a Amex crypto currency.

Go ahead and sign me right up for that. (Though on second thought, that would mean that the regulation was there for Amex to issue one, soooooo maybe not)

Is the WeWork benefit still available through the end of the year?

Steve

It should be; wework.com/businessplatinum still says “Enroll by 12/31/2019”.

WTF? So, they literally shut us down for having multiple Business Platinums, and now they’re officially offering businesses to have more than one Platinum? WTF?

Shutdowns were from self-referrals, not multiple biz plats.

If I have an Amex Marriott Bonvoy Business and open a referral link and I apply with that to a Platinum, Will my account be at risk?

Cold-called by Amex about my Biz Plat yesterday. I’m nearing end of my first year and sock-drawered after meeting minimum spend. They inquired about how they could help me increase spend. I was flying through an airport at the time, so a bit distracted. On these calls are they generally willing to give incentives or are they just trying to get you to put money on the card?

Ah they called me too, but I couldn’t answer

Check out FT, they’ve got lots of spend/retention offer DPs.

Obviously doesn’t have any lifetime language… although it’d be kind of hilarious if it did 😂

Why on Earth would anyone want a 2nd Biz Platinum card when the benefits completely overlap?? Ya, the bonus, I know, but I thought they were strongly *against* churning. It’s not like they are waiving the annual fee. It would make sense if they let you choose your benefits & rewards from various options — sorta like the US Bank Cash+ card. I suggested that to them, but of course they think doing clawbacks is a better way of doing business.
