American Express will be offering a number of benefits to cardholders at the 2019 U.S. Open. The benefits are as follows:
- $20 statement credit when you spend $100 or more with your enrolled card at participating merchants on site
- American Express Radios (limit 1)
- American Express Card Member Club access. This grants you and up to three guests access (any American Express card will do. No need for the Platinum or Centurion).
- Centurion Lounge In Louis Armstrong Stadium.
- Complimentary premium snacks, small bites and water, in addition to one complimentary drink (beer, wine or cocktail)*. Additional selection of finely crafted cocktails, beer and wine will be available for purchase. Need a Platinum or Centurion lounge to get access.
- Complimentary bag check at East & South Gate upon entry
Club access, $20 back and the radios will be the main items of use I imagine.
When I went to CitiField, across street from US Open, Visa Signaure credit card holders got a nice free bag.
Just as a heads up for those with dreams of going in and out of the Centurion.. I was there on the first Tuesday (before it gets remotely busy) and there was an estimated 4 hour wait for the Centurion lounge and they said they would text when it was my place in line. I never got a text to get in before it closed.
