[Expired] Amex Offers: Delta Spend $300 and get $60 Back [Targeted]

Deal has expired, view more Delta deals here.

The Offer

Check your American Express cards for the following offer:

  • Enroll your card to get $60 back when you spend $300 at Delta Air Lines.

The Fine Print

  • Valid through 1/9/18
  • $300 can be spent in one transaction or split across multiple transactions
  • Only valid on purchases made directly with Delta through U.S. delta.com, Fly Delta U.S. app or U.S. Reservation telephone line.
  • Flights must originate in the U.S. or its territories
  • Purchase must be in USD.
  • Excludes airport purchases, on-board purchases, hotel and car bookings through delta.com, third party booking, and a few other things.

Our Verdict

I can’t seem to find this yet on any of my cards, but a lot of people are finding it. In the past, I’ve used similar Delta offers to buy gift cards so that’s an option to lock in the deal or if you can make small profit reselling the cards.

Shoot I’ve already ordered 4x$50 GCs for the amex platinum. Going to try and order 2 more and see if it triggers the extra $60 since fine print says 1+ transactions.

Seems to stack fine with travel credit.

1/1 – Changed plat airline to Delta
1/1 – 6 x $50 gift cards (1 transaction)
1/3 – $60 credit
1/5 – $200 credit showing as used

Disregard, I added to one and it disappeared on the other two.

literally zero offers across 4 different people… business and personal cards – about 40 total. Weak

Do you think this could be double dipped with the Platinum airline credit?

Should be able to, as it just goes by coding.

Of our 6 Amex cards spread across 3 accounts/logins, only my wife’s Amex BCP had the offer

Does this stack with the airline credit on the platinum ? If so, would make sense to do in January right after we get fresh airline credits ?

I was thinking the same thing. I don’t see why not. I’ve definitely had 2 Amex Offers apply to one purchase (ex. Lowe’s both 10% off, and 2x MR)

Just note that per flyertalk for the airline credits “Denominations over $50 will not generate the credit. Multiple $50 eCerts will. The smallest denomination available is $50.”

and you can only use 3 gift cards per flight on Delta… so you might be stuck with a GC balance for a while

I had a $60 of $300 Delta offer on my Hilton Aspire ~half a year ago. I bought 6x$50 GCs, and triggered the $250 credit and the offer. That’s $310 of credits for a $300 charge.
