Amex System Maintenance Causing Delays in Reward Crediting

For the past few months, I’ve been noticing that the Reward Dollars on Amex Blue Cash cards have been taking time to post. It was slightly worrying until getting used to it.

Today, there’s a pop-up in the Amex login on all versions of the Blue Cash card which states that there’s system maintenance going on, and it may take up to 30 days after your statement closing date until the rewards show up.

The issue seems to be exclusive to the Blue Cash cards, not any other reward currencies. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon.

Endpoint notes that it’s possible to get rewards accelerated by requesting it via chat or phone.

Seems to be happening again. CSR Supervisor confirmed that it’s an issue with a number of accounts. I’m waiting on my 60k + $50 statement credit from the Delta Gold AmEx offer

No popup, but like others have said, it’s definitely been taking a lot longer than usual lately for my cash back to post with my SimplyCash Business card.

30 days plus a month’s lag in posting of RD is unacceptable to me so I’ll just cash out my RD from Jan spend without using the cards that has a few Ks left till they reach $50K on bonus cat. I use them mostly for drugstore deals without going over my CL.

I think they do, because they can. If they notice customers quit using their cards, that’ll probably pressure them to do something about it.

This happened to me last month on my Old Blue Cash card. I called in after reviewing my statement, which showed the correct cash back amount and they were able to update the website right away so I could withdraw the full amount as a statement credit. Same thing happened after my February statement but I didn’t get the error message. And yes it initially scared me.

My cash back for OBC posted after 17 or so days. I don’t like this at all. I don’t mind the wait, but I don’t believe that it’s just “system maintenance” for just the Blue Cash cards. It wasn’t too long ago that a lot of users got shut down, then there was the $50K cap. Who knows what else is coming.

Had points post as normal (which oddly seems to have been every 5 weeks for at least the past few months) the beginning of this month, then 10 days later more points posted. Guess it was related to this issue.

My rewards have always taken this long to post. Like, I mean it’s been this way for me for more than a year. I thought maybe this meant they were going to take even longer, which is absurd, since it’s basically 2-2.5 months for rewards to post at this point. I know you can call in, but that adds another 30 mins to the whole process. argle bargle.
