Our Verdict
Deal won’t show up unless you’re logged in and have enough credits. Not a huge deal, but could be useful for some readers with Audible credits.
Bought three books and didn’t get the $10 credit. Chatted with a CSR yesterday and they were able to look and my account and add the $10 to my account. Thanks DoC!
If someone can think of a way to utilize this promo in conjunction with the free trial + $10 GC promo that goes live on 7/18, please post your method here. Because this promo runs through 7/18 at midnight, I theorize stacking may be possible, but the trial memberships only come with 1 monthly credit
I think the target market is people with paid memberships who’ve been slacking off on using their credits. I don’t see how it could work with the usual 1-month trial deals at all, but might be possible for someone who got in on a 2-month ExxonMobil-sponsored trial deal in the second round, if they didn’t jump to use their credits ASAP already. (I did the April version so can’t do it again for a year, but a second round started in June IIRC for people who hadn’t just done it already, and they would still be within their 2 months.) On the rare occasion one does get a 2-month trial instead of 1-month, and doesn’t use the month-1 credit in month-1, you would have 2 credits to use in month-2.
Have 3 credits and am a gold monthly subscriber but no offer. Oh well, I’ll try it anyways and see if anything happens.
Now if only I could come up with 3 books I actually want to redeem credits for. The $10 coupon is redeemable only on Audible, correct?
That’s what it sound like to me, an Audible-specific coupon to use on another audiobook bought without a credit, not an Amazon.com GC.
