Iberia was offering a generous promotion offering 9,000 Avios per flight up to 90,000 Avios total. Points from this promotion were due to deposit yesterday, but didn’t. Iberia was claiming that the 10 day period hadn’t passed yet, even though it definitely had for those who purchased on the 21st. There is/was some issues with some people’s accounts as well. The good news is that multiple readers have confirmed that they have received the full 90,000 Avios into their account now. If you haven’t received yours as of yet I wouldn’t worry too much, at least not yet.
I’d also recommend using your miles sooner rather than later. The miles expire on December 1st, 2018 and cannot be transferred to the British Airways program. Given that a lot of people have 90,000 Avios that expire in less than 5 months I except award availability is only going to get worse. I normally hate writing about redeeming points/miles, so I probably won’t but if readers want to share some of the best redemption options they know of in the comments maybe I’ll give it a shot.
