The Offer
Delta members who live in Washington state will be able to enroll in 12status again this year and earn miles based on Seahawks 2021 performance. Benefits are as follows:

- One mile awarded for each Seahawks passing yard during all home and away games.
- 12Status Members will have the opportunity to unlock access to an exclusive viewing party during the season.
- Six lucky 12Status Members and one guest will be awarded with the chance to attend a Seahawks away game on December 19 in Los Angeles.
The Fine Print
- No purchase necessary.
- Open to legal residents of Washington, 18 or older, who are new or existing Delta SkyMiles Program members. Void where prohibited by law.
- Program participants must register in 12Status program between September 9, 2021 and October 29, 2021 to be eligible for Grand Prize. Odds of winning will depend on the number of enrollees in 12Status program. Official terms & conditions may be obtained by visiting 12Status.com.
Our Verdict
They offered the same thing in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. You should earn about 4,000 miles. Your address used to register needs to match your address on file with Skymiles, so keep that in mind. Still an easy win for Washington state residents.

Do they send any snail mail? Just moved to SEA for work and currently staying in corporate housing (can’t reliably get mail here). I could use my work address but rather not actually receive any personal mail at work.
Change address to WA temporarely?
I figured every team always had this? Only Seattle? TIL. Alaska Air used to do it too? I wonder what it is about the Seahawks and air miles?
I believe Delta only does this because years ago, they decided to try and muscle in on their frenemy, Alaska Airlines, and made pretensions about making Seattle a hub. Fat chance. This seems to be a carry-over from those efforts to kill the actual home-town airline. Delta did a bunch of high-profile things to get attention and scare Alaska, this was one of them.
Alaska used to have lots of marketing tie-ins with the Seahawks. Lately they seem to have switched their focus to the Mariners, a team with a lot more buzz right currently (they’ve had one heckuva August, check again in a few weeks). You actually get extra bonus points on Fridays for using an Alaska Airlines credit card at the Mariners’ stadium. I’ve tried to think of ways to scale that deal, but there’s only so many hot dogs I can eat and so much beer that I can consume.

In another decade or two maybe I’ll finally be able to redeem all my SkyPesos for that one-way coach middle seat between Detroit and Cleveland in mid-winter that I’ve been dreaming of for so long…
