Our Verdict
This is in addition to the points you’d normally earn. You can see how much Amtrak points are worth by clicking here.
Do we have any idea how this is targeted? Longtime Amtrak member w two cards, v little spend over SUB… didn’t get this email or one mentioned here a while back :-/
I got an email yesterday that this was extended to May 31, both time to spend and to be awarded the points (now 8-12 weeks from May 31) even if you already hit your mark. No additional spend required or points offered.

Subject: Cardholder exclusive: Your bonus points offer has been extended.
My offer was 4,000 points after $2,000. Haven’t used it for more than my monthly gym dues in a long time.
I have a datapoint: Spend $2000 for 4000 points
Quoting the email: “Earn 4,000 points when you register for this limited-time offer and spend at least $2,000 on purchases made March 1 through April 30, 2020.”
ok, bravo for you and others getting this. What was the subject heading on the email? Who was the actual sender?
DP: I have an email offer for spending $500 for a 1000 point bonus. Guess I’m not spending enough with them for the bigger thresholds.
1,000 points for $500 spend here.
How is this offer getting sent out?
alas, chronic problem with these (otherwise much welcome) alerts…. Would it have been that hard for somebody to chime in with a “subject heading” from the offer email and/or an indication of just who sent it? Otherwise, we’ve left wasting time hunting through email inbox — sometimes in vain, sometimes missing the actual deal for want of such clues.
