Update 11/4/23: Public link with $500 bonus after $5,000 spend (ht Elliot)
Original Post 10/21/23:
Bank of America has launched the Business Advantage Unlimited Cash Rewards credit card as rumored. Card offers the following:
- Sign up bonus of $300 after $3,000 in spend within 90 days of account opening ($500 bonus after $5,000 in spend available via small business bankers. Stefan at Rapid Travel Chai can help with an introduction).
- Card earns 1.5% cash back on all purchases. Up to 2.62% back with 25 – 75% for Business Preferred Rewards clients.
- No annual fee
Application went to a review with a pending status. What does this usually mean?
DP: Applied as Sole Prop w/ EIN. Approved w/ $7k CL. HP from TU
Applied as Sole Prop. BoA asking for business license but I live in state that doesn’t require license. Anyone got away without submitting EIN (as i’ll need to apply for one for this) ?
Customer Service claims that they don’t do a hard pull for credit card applications (only a soft pull). I doubt that is correct…. What bureau do they pull from?
TransUnion hard pull for me (in California)
Make money with doctor everyday !!! Approved. Last one closed in May 2024.
DP: Approved in Jan and got bonus.
FYI Just approved on the sole-prop dif EIN 5 months later.
Signed up for this one again and received the card in the mail but not the letter confirming the bonus like usual, has it ever arrived late for anyone?

R website not app correct? Personal or business BofA login? Thanks!
Yes, website with personal login.
Thanks!
Not sure but possibly YMMV: I called them today looking to close out my two Business Advantage Unlimited Cash Rewards cards/corp accounts. I didn’t ask for one but the rep proactively offered me a retention of $50 as a statement credit with no spend requirements for each account that I keep open instead of closing. There were other options available for the retention offer but the statement credit was the only one that I thought was worth considering.
In case it matters, I opened one in 2023 and the other in 2024, both as the same sole prop, and I have not use the cards at all after hitting the SUB’s on them.
Called today 5/19 and got the same response from them. Opened the biz card in 2024. Took the $50 credit.
Apparently they are still doing this. Called in today to close my account (was planning to open another afterwards for the SUB). The rep offered three options. I accepted the option for $50 credit for keeping the card open for “a while longer”. Opened in 2024, sole prop, no spend after hitting the sub.
I may still try to open another as I just got another personal BofA card and a new business card application will use the same inquiry within 30 days.
How many boa cards can one open in 30 day period? I already got one personal and one business card in the last 7 days.
Maybe you can try 1 more business card. There’s the Atmos Alaska with a bigger promo
John Good luck!

Thanks, I tried that card and got rejected. Lol! They have strict rules on Alaska biz card.
Sorry to hear John. You can call recon and they’re actually very nice and will tell you the reasons you’re rejected for.

Do you know if you opened too many BoA cards recently? Whether it’s personal or business. Also there’s the 2/3/4 rule

Approved after recon and closing existing business card/moving credit to open new card.
They really care about the assets you have under management as well as most recent cards opened with them, so take that into account. Closing my existing card and moving the available credit to the new one was my last Hail Mary that worked.
