There are two targeted Amex Offers ongoing until November 15, 2017:
- Get 10% back or 10x point with online cell payments to major U.S. Carriers –Â AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon
- Get 10% back or 10x points with cable or satellite tv billÂ
What’s interesting is that multiple readers note being able to use the cable offer on a cellular bill with AT&T or Verizon. Or to use the cellular offer on their ATT or Verizon cable bill. So if you got just one of these, you can use them interchangeably.
Even more interesting is that if you got targeted with both offers on the same card, it should actually trigger both offer credits with a single transaction. We’ve seen data points both ways with people paying their cellular bills with AT&T Â or Verizon and getting both credits, as well as people paying their internet bill (e.g. Verizon Fios) and getting both credits.
This double-dipping is specific to AT&T and Verizon who offer both cellular and cable services. Most other providers like T-Mobile, Sprint, Comcast, Time Warner, etc., will probably only work with the appropriate offer.
For the sake of completeness, let’s note that there are actually two other offers for cellular providers going on currently:
- Amex Offers: Spend $200 at AT&T and Get $20 or 2,000 Points [Targeted]. Expires August 15, 2017. This offer is only found on business cards while the previous two offers are only found on personal cards, I believe.
- Amex Offers: Verizon get 3,000 Points with $100 Store Purchase [TX, IL, GA – Targeted]. Expires August 17, 2017. In Verizon stores only and targeted in TX, IL, GA only.
