I notice these are vanilla cards, can you purchase MOs from WM with these?

BJ’s store sells $500 vgc, no need to do this online offer.

That’s assuming you want to go to the store. I’ve driven by a BJs recently and the lines to get into the store are loooong.

Math for most of us is pretty simple, assuming 5% cashback via Discover for the quarter:
101.95 – 5% cashback => 96.8525. In short you’d be getting 3.1475% cashback when using liquidating these pre-paid visa cards. This is instead of the typical 2.5% (assuming Alliant) or 2% (Citi/Fidelity/others), unless you only use for online purchases where BofA nets you 3%.

The value is at that in the eye of the beholder!

I have Discover CC and this is my first year. If I buy 9 cards, according to my calculations, I’d net $74.21 ($17.55 in fees; $91.76 in cc cashback). Of course, I won’t get half of the cashback until the end of my card year, but still seems worth it.

Great deal for first-year Discover It card holders. Essentially net 8% back per GC after end-of-year CB match.

Say, DoC, where you getting normal purchase fee of $1.95? Not helping is the all-too- common sloppy & incomplete reporting from gcr. (in this case posting a blurry gift card image, as if that’s helpful….. ) Even more comedy from BJ’s — on the deal page itself, yes, we have the indication of $3 off the ordinary purchase fee of 4.95 — except that the image on the very same add has a purchase fee of $5.95. lol

Purchase fee is normally 4.95, so discount makes it 1.95. Almost 2% fee per card, pass

It is showing me $101.95 after $3 off. This deal does not make sense to me unless someone is using discover card for quarterly categories.

Should also work for the temporary Citi Prestige 5x online. Quick way to burn a chunk of that 7500 point limit, $3.15 profit (or more redeeming for travel).
