From the faq:

“If I use Tier Benefits, like the $100 Diamond Dinner, in 2020 do I get those benefits again in 2021 as part of the extension?

No. If you use your benefits in 2020 you will not have them available in 2021. If you do not use your benefits in 2020, they will be extended and available to use in 2021.

If you have earned status for 2021 then you will have a new set of benefits available, like normal.”

Not entirely clear on the $100 Celebration dinner…is this available every year if you match to Diamond? Or literally just once?

Once per calendar year

Once per calendar year, but you won’t lose diamond, so unless you truly requalify, you won’t get another $100 dinner next year.

Extending Celebration Dinner could burn us. Since our status is extended, we won’t be downgraded and then be able to match up. So likely we will lose a Celebration Dinner because of this if I’m thinking about it correctly.

Yep. My thoughts exactly.

Could you explain? Not sure what you mean about matching up and getting an extra dinner. I thought you got one per year?

If you don’t lost status in Feb 2021 (due to status extension), you can’t match back to diamond status since you ready have it. Hence, if you use your celebration dinner in 2020, you won’t get another one in 2021.

I was really hoping for two dinners! Wonder if I use it this fall like planned if I’ll get another one next February.

I used to go to Atlantic City every weekend and more! I never gamble. You can exercise on the boardwalk. Shop at Tanger Outlets. Jump into the ocean. Watch live music etc. The nicest hotel there is Wyndham Skyline vacation. There is no casino at Wyndham Skyline. At Wyndham Skyline you can rent DVD movie for a dollar from the Arts and Crafts area. My wife loves it

Did you get MLife status through status matching from Hilton by chance? Considering doing this.

Yeah, curious about status match (Mrs Redacted) and Founderscard (me). My account online still shows Jan 2021 expiration of my Diamond status but I can imagine that they just haven’t updated it yet…

My understanding with FoundersCard is that the moment your FoundersCard membership expires, you lose the status that the FoundersCard got you and you get whatever status you have legitimately earned. So this extension shouldn’t apply to those of us with Diamond from FoundersCard. But I’m still holding out hope there is a chance we will keep it (but not banking on it).
