I consider the real start of this blog when we made the decision to remove all credit card affiliate links from this site and that was four years ago (actually October 1st is four years ago, but I got sidetracked). Since then the community aspect of this blog has really grown, readers have been more willing to contribute and share datapoints and information with each other. On a daily basis I’m flooded with helpful e-mails and comments from readers wanting to contribute to make the site better and more useful. I believe a big part of this is that readers can see our actions speak louder than words, we forgo credit card/bank account affiliate links to remain unbiased and present readers with the best possible deals.
I’d first like to thank Chuck, without him this site wouldn’t be possible. He puts in huge hours of a weekly basis and I’m forever grateful for finding him as a contributor for this site. Second thanks goes to Sirtheta & Don L also pitch in from time to time and we will likely focus on adding another writer or two in the coming year. The final and biggest thanks goes to you the reader. Thanks for reading the site, thanks for contributing comments and useful datapoints and thanks for pointing out deals that we wouldn’t have found without you.
