The Fine Print

- Choose from more than 150,000 hotels—with recently lowered prices!
- Purchase in July. Travel anytime.
- Bonus cash back will post to your account within a week of the transaction posting, and will appear on your monthly credit card billing statement and be available for use within 1-2 billing cycles.
Our Verdict
When I first saw the offer, I got pretty excited since I assumed it was 10x on all hotel/rental purchases. But the terms require booking through Ultimate Rewards which obviously makes the deal way less exciting.
Also note that you’ll only get the extra 9% if it’s a cash purchase, not a points purchase.
The extra “9% cash back” should post as flexible Ultimate Rewards points which does make this deal better.
