Chase & Hyatt have made it easier to earn elite status by putting spend on the co-branded Chase Hyatt card. Normally for every $5,000 you spend you earn 2 elite night credits. From now until June 30th you’ll earn 3 elite night credits per $5,000 in spend. In addition legacy cardholders normally don’t earn any elite night credits based on spend, but they will earn 2 elite night credits per $5,000 in spend until June 30th, 2020. New cardholders will also get 10 elite nights instead of the standard 5.
To be honest I think there will be very few people earning elite status this year so this is a bit of a nothing change in my opinion. For those going for elite status based on credit card spend this is huge, I just think the amount of people that will impact will be close to zero.
