Direct link to offer

  • Chase is offering an increased bonus of Chase Hyatt:
    • Earn 2 free nights at any Category 1–4 Hyatt hotel or resort after spending $4,000 in your first 3 months of account opening
    • Earn 25,000 Bonus Points after spending $12,000 in your first 6 months of account opening

Card Basics

  • This product is available to you if you do not have this card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months
  • Annual fee of $95
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 4x points per $1 spent on Hyatt hotels (they advertise this as 9x, but it’s 4x plus the 5x you normally get anyway)
    • 2x points per $1 spent on local transit and commuting (including taxis, mass transit, tolls and ride-share serivces)
    • 2x points per $1 spent on restaurants, cafes and coffee shops
    • 2x points per $1 spent on airline tickets purchased directly from the airlines
    • 2x points per $1 spent on fitness clubs and gym memberships
    • 1x points per $1 spent on all other purchases
  • Receive up to two free nights annually:
    • One free night at any category 1-4 Hyatt property every year after your card member anniversary
    • An additional free night at any category 1-4 Hyatt property if you spend $15,000 during your card member anniversary year
  • Status:
    • World of Hyatt Discoverist status for as long as the card is open
    • 5 qualifying night credits towards your next tier status every year
    • An additional 2 qualifying night credits towards your next tier every time you spend $5,000 on the card (no limit)

Our Verdict

Previous bonuses were 65,000 points with $15,000 in spend or 60,000 points after $6,000 in spend. Category 4 properties cost a maximum of 18,000 points so if you fully max out this bonus it works out to be 61,000 points. Don’t think it’s seriously worth considering as it’s harder to get the maximum value out of the certificates so we won’t be adding this to our list of the best credit bonuses.

Came across another offer:
> Receive up to $350 in statement credits as reimbursement for purchases at Hyatt charged to your card within the first 12 months from account opening.*
Plus, earn 5,000 Bonus Points after you spend $1,500 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.*

You get 12 months to spend $350 at hyatt but 5k points for $1500 spend?

Where’d you find this offer?

That’s another terrible offer. At this point Hyatt might as well stop having SUBs altogether than finding creative ways to come up with garbage SUBs.

This offer is the worst ever for this card. I’ve been hoping to pick it up but I guess not for a few more months at least lol. What a terrible offer.

The best-ish offer I’ve seen was 50k.

Which you could burn at cat1 mattress run to secure Globalist when they had shortcut promo.

First offer I’ve seen where the “increased” offer is worse than the normal offer.

Is there a link to the normal offer?

Hyatt has no problem getting people to transfer their UR to Hyatt (read: gets Chase to buy a shitload of their miles), so they’re less incentivized to get cobrand cardholders than they otherwise would be

Amen, I was going to say the same, this is one of the best examples of a card that keeps dumping its Welcome bonuses lol.

Were planning for a category 7 stay. I hope this deal disappears and a points only deal comes back soon. PS expire aug 28. the 60k for $6000 spend would be great but i would be satisfied with the 30k deal too as long as the business 60k is also available.

Is it just me, or does this seem worse than the normal offer?

It’s especially worse when you remember that good Cat 4s are few and far now. Especially in the USA

The normal offer is 30k points for 3k spend. This one gives 25k points AND two FNCs – this new offer is definitely better than the usual SUB. That being said, both are terrible offers in comparison to the current Marriott or IHG offerings.

Not really sure this is a better offer since it requires $12K spend for only 25K points.

Oh wow I definitely missed that. That would make this an outrageously horrible offer.
