Chase No Longer Matching To Ritz-Carlton 3 Night Offer

Update December 17th, 2017: Looks like they are no longer matching people to the three night offer. Bad news for those hoping to triple dip the travel credit. Datapoints of matching to three nights not working: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. If you’ve previously been promised a match and they are now refusing it I would recommend escalating to a supervisor. Hat tip to CaptainKpins on /r/churning

Update: Looks like the new offer never came.

At the moment the Chase Ritz-Carlton card offers two free nights at any Tier 1-4 Ritz-Carlton property when you spend $3,000 in the first three months after account opening. For some reason it seems like a lot of people are having success being matched to the same offer but offering three nights instead of two. Some datapoints: 1, 2, 3, 4

Interestingly Flyertalk user UserMark was told that on August 18th a public three night offer will be returning. Personally I’d wait until the 18th in the hopes that the free night offer returns, I was hoping for the 140,000 point offer to return but given Marriott’s acquisition of SPG I doubt we will see that offer again (would make the bonus worth 45,000+ SPG points and make it easier to get enough points to redeem for hotel + flights package). I haven’t been able to confirm with any of my normal sources that a three night offer is coming on the 18th, but fingers crossed.

Which is really weird, because I’ve but $3080 on the card (~2 months in) and my free nights posted today. Can I get away with not putting another $1k on the card?

When was the last time this card offered points? I’d much rather have points than 2 or 3 nights at a tier 1-4 Ritz. Although I would happily take the nights if they could be used at any Ritz Carlton. Pretty much every decent Ritz Carlton resort is higher than a category 4.

Before the Starwood merger. I would love a 140k point offer but I don’t see it happening when that would be 50k Starpoints with one bonus after the AU points.

If you applied and we’re approved in December, you can use the travel credit 3x on one annual fee. December 2017, January 2018, January 2019, then cancel.
