Chase Ritz-Carlton Credit Card: up to 4,000 Points Spending Bonus

The Offer

Check your emails for an offer on the Chase Ritz-Carlton Rewards cards:

  • Use your card from April 15 to June 30 to make a purchase of at least $2,000 and we will credit your rewards account with 1,000 bonus points.
  • You can earn 1,000 points on four eligible purchases for a total maximum of 4,000 bonus points.

The Fine Print

  • To be eligible for this bonus offer, you must log on to the website referenced in this offer and enroll by 06/30/18 11:59 p.m. ET.
  • A purchase transaction must bill and post to your account in an amount that is equal to or greater than $2,000; for example, purchase transactions with items that ship at different times and bill in amounts less than $2,000 will not qualify for this bonus.
  • Your bonus points are calculated each billing cycle based on the number of purchase transactions of $2,000 or more during the promotional period that falls within that billing cycle. Points earned in a monthly billing cycle are generally available to be used at the beginning of the next billing cycle; bonus points earned on purchases made near the end of a billing cycle may take up to one additional billing cycle to become available. You’ll see points you’ve earned on chase.com and on your monthly card billing statement.

Our Verdict

Not an easy promotion to take advantage of since it requires a large $2,000 purchase. It also might not make sense to use regardless, but something to keep in mind.

Not targeted, I think I need to sock-drawer Chase cards more.

Lost my AARP card in my car and haven’t used it since (three weeks) and I was actually targeted for that promotion. So you’re probably correct.

Three weeks is hardly a sock drawer. That’s not even a full cycle.

Nice little bonus for those aiming for $75k spend!

Yeah given the earning rate on this card it still doesn’t make much sense to use this promotion unless you’re going for platinum status via $75k spend.

I got a similar spending bonus offer on my Chase AARP card: “Spend $4,000 on your AARP® Credit Card from Chase
between 4/15/18 and 6/30/18 and get 4,000 bonus points.”
