Our Verdict
Lyft rental is basically just a car rental service. There is another offer for $20 back when you spend $200+ on car rentals, but I don’t think they will stack.
Hat tip to DDG
Booked a rental along with the “first rental $30 off” offer in the app. Only thought now is insurance, as it seems it’s location specific as to whether you’ll pay extra once you get in there, or if you deny it whether your citi card cdw will cover lyft rentals, and whether that coverage is even worthwhile compared to using a chase card or something else. If anyone has some insights please let us know.
No citi card has primary cdw?
I’ve redeemed about 8 Citi Merchant offers, and only received credit on 2 of them. When I’ve called customer service, most of them have never heard of these offers before. Others have told me that I need to wait 3! billing cycles for the credit to appear, and of course the credit never appeared. Another time, I was told to call the Merchant to figure it out, and that Citi wasn’t responsible for it.
I basically got tired of them rarely working. Anyone else have similar issues?
just be patient. Last time the round that ended in April(?) didn’t post until like end of may. Just watch the rolling counter on the merchant offers page. It might jump back and forth, as well, but it will work itself out eventually
Great catch, TB! Also, they really need some editorial staff.
Wow. They really don’t talk to one another about their posts.
