CLEAR Now Available At Newark Liberty International Airport

CLEAR makes it easier and quicker to get through airport security lanes at select airports (and select times at those airports). This is possible with dedicated CLEARlanes at these airports. You need to present your boarding pass and tap your finger to use these lanes. A lot of readers have free memberships from the one year deal. CLEAR has sent out an e-mail saying that they have partnered with United and are now available at Newark Liberty International Airport with more airports to be added in the near future.

Is this only for united flights or do we get to use them when flying Alaska too? Asking since I remember Newark gates to be split up sorta weird.

I remember reading somewhere else that it was only available at terminal C, which means only United flights for right now. It would be lovely if they would add them to terminal A or B as well, but there are SOOOOO many other issues with those terminals that should probably be addressed first. Can’t wait for the new terminal A/1 to open in 2021.

Sadly, only in Terminal C. But for UA fliers, this sounds like good news.

Is this in all terminals or just those where United is located?

My wife flew out of Newark on Friday and said both regular and TSA Pre-Check lines were unusually long with long wait times given, while Clear representatives just happened to be there, setup with tables and everything, and were going up and down the lines trying to sell Clear to the stuck travelers.

Similar experience but in BWI last May. TSA-Pre line took 30+ min, normal line was shorter, and Clear was even faster than normal line. Pretty infuriating to be stuck in TSA-Pre line for so long…
