Portals are also offering up to $20 back, but unfortunately the code is not listed so probably won’t work. Remember American Express green cardholders get a rebate of $100 for CLEAR membership so that effectively makes it free. We did see a free year deal earlier in the year as well, but that didn’t last long at all.

yes it does. I applied yesterday using the promocode mentioned above but still did not get the Amazon gift card mentioned in there. Also did not see it mentioned in the application page either. Will contact their customer support and see what the deal it.

Can someone explain to me why you would get CLEAR for $100/yr when you can get TSA pre check for $85/5years?
CLEAR gets you to the front of the security line IIRC – sometimes the Pre-check line can be almost as long of wait or line as regular line.
GE/PC – because so many cards offer it and its been around for a while – the GE Is still great for Customs, but PC can be YMMV.
Off the top of my head SFO is a good example if you have say a 90 minute layover – but are flying out of different terminal than PP restaurants/Centurion lounge it can be risky or depending on time of day to try to swing by with security – but every time we flown thru the CLEAR lanes had no wait.
Since this is a UA/DL and AmEx partnership of sorts it is less likely to get as congested as fast especially with an AF. Depending on your home hub and how often you fly it may or maynot be valuable.

I know this is going to sound snooty of me but… These Clear promos are going to flood the service. The precheck lines are long enough now since everyone’s credit card offers free precheck.
Maybe you should splurge for a private jet.
Anyone know when we get the gift card? The promo code applied the correct price, but the website didn’t mention anything about the gift card. It’s been about 15 minutes and nothing so far.

If you go this route 3 months free instead of free Amazon Gift Card and/or plan on picking up the Green card in the next 3 months or want to re-up past trial and use a discount with/out Green card credit or Airline CC. Near the end of the 3 months, give CLEAR a call (855-253-2763) and have them switch your membership to the United/Delta/Student offer.
I signed up for trial for me and DW, as we are traveling thru, SFO, SEA, MSP, DTW, MSO, ATL and EWR between now and March 1, 2020 (trial end).

While we have family in most cities with CLEAR our home hub PDX does not -it would be a no brainer to keep it at renewal if they did.
